Mansfield Redemption Center / Commonwealth Enterprises is a state operated bottle and can redemption center. The program was located at the Wrentham Developmental Center until March 16, 2013. In order for the program to be more integrated into the community we moved to our permanent location at 75 Forbes Boulevard, Mansfield, MA. Our other location, Town Line Redemption Center, originally started on Paul A. Dever grounds and later moved into the community at 455 Somerset Ave, N. Dighton. It had spent almost 20 years at this location and in September 2016 moved to 1901 County Street, Dighton, MA. At both locations, our individuals are able to assist customers with the product as it is brought in and then help to process the cans which is then delivered
back to the distributors.
Commonwealth Enterprises functions as a work training and employment program for people with developmental disabilities to be gainfully employed and develop work skills. Presently, Individuals receive assistance from one of our two locations: Mansfield and Dighton. In addition to their work and skills training in the redemption centers, individuals will have the opportunity to participate in community job tours and volunteer positions.
